Collection of date - why, how and where information is gathered

Most personal data is collected from our online consultation forms for internal record keeping. We keep a brief medical record to see if there are any contra indications to massage - whether this be local or total contra indications to provide a safe and effective treatment. The website used for consultation form is Jotform.com which is a third party website. We use your contact details to send confirmation via  e-mail and text reminders regarding your appointments in order to prevent no shows and cancellation fees within 24 hours, and to arrange appointments.

We also use data for your consent and contract agreement for the therapy to go ahead

We will also collect data by keeping treatment notes, which will be recorded after each massage session and by keeping diarised records of appointment times. These documents will be on paper kept in a locked filing cabinet.

We will not sell, distribute or provide your information to third parties, unless we have your permission, or if it's required for a legal matter. We may share data with third parties to enforce our rights under our terms and conditions or to protect the rights of the massage therapist.

How long we keep information 

We hold clients records/data for 7 years from the date of the clients last appointment. Records are kept for insurance purposes. After this period, all written data will be shredded, and online consultation forms will be discarded.

Your rights regarding your data

You have the right to request to see your data at any point, and have copies if you wish. You may also request to have your information removed from our database. Once this has been arranged, data will be discarded within 30 days. You also have the right to inform us regarding any mistakes of any personal data that we hold about you .

How we use cookies 

The internet pages use cookies - text files which are stored in a computer system. Cookies help to analyse web traffic, and enable web applications to respond to each viewer. All your information is kept secure. Consultation forms are completed online, and are saved onto a password protected folder. Your data is confidential and will never be shared. Personal details (name, phone number, and e-mail address) on our website for sending a message, is very secure as Wix (website platform) has several safety and security measures in place. Wix uses cryptography hash function in order to protect your information, and also follows the privacy shield principles.
