WHY
US?
High quality
Expect thorough treatments, using advanced techniques
Have you ever gone for a sports or deep tissue massage only to find out that their pressure is far too light, and feel as though tension is still there from just brushing the surface? Or they have missed important muscles out, such as rotator cuff? This is very common, particularly if you chose to get this treatment at a spa, or therapists who do not hold a recognised sports massage diploma or degree.
Here, at Smyth Ease Massage, we are very thorough with our treatments, providing a high level of standard ! We use the same (in fact more) techniques compared to what physiotherapist would use. Wait... does that surprise you?
We go over each isolated muscle group, due to understanding the muscle origins & insertions, knowing which muscle is responsible for each movement.

We are here to fix issues and are passionate about helping each individual. It is more than just a treatment.
Our knowledge
Intensive training with ITEC - Globally recognised & trusted awarding organisation
Learning is ongoing, and you will see how passionate we are. This shows in our work. Techniques are always developing each month. We are now trained in managing injuries, which took place at St Mary's University in London. Even if an individual does not suffer from an injury, we can apply the knowledge to any deep tissue or sports massage, due to the vast knowledge on anatomy and physiology.

This level of understanding allows not only an enhanced treatment, but also allows us to advise and refer individuals to a specialist for a diagnosis.

Our google reviews speak highly about our knowledge, with 5 star ratings.
Variety of treatments
Most treatments are focused heavily on relieving pain & tension. This is what we do best!
We pride ourselves on being the only therapist in the area, who have several treatments for deep tissue, and sports, ranging from 1 hour - 2 hours. Just have a look at our treatments, so you can see for yourself!
Our treatment list is specifically created, with pain & tension in mind. So all you have to do is choose the one that applies to you. We have made this easy as possible, as we understand choosing the right massage can be a mind field, especially when you haven't received a massage before.
Client focused
Providing the best suited treatment plan to match your objectives
Different techniques are used depending on each individuals issues & goals, therefore the more information we attain, the better your treatment will be.

Before attending your first visit, you will be expected to fill out our short online consultation form, highlighting any areas of dysfunction & stating what you wish to achieve. Then let us handle the rest!
Adaptable
No two treatments are the same! We often adapt techniques to suit your preferences or medical issues
For example, if you suffer from Osteoporosis the pressure and style would have to be adapted, because deep tissue is contra indicated and may cause further damage to this condition.

If the pressure is too much, please don't be afraid to speak up during your treatment, requesting easing of pressure. I will not be offended, I expect you to voice any concerns.
Advice & referral
Providing advice within our scope, & knowing when to refer for diagnosis, or bone related issues, as opposed to muscle
Our massage techniques are the same as what physiotherapists use, but without their price tag! The only difference, is that we can't diagnose or provide a rehabilitation plan. We can manage pre diagnosed injuries, and we carry out specialist assessments to find out which movement is causing the pain. If we feel that you need a diagnose, we will recommend you see a health care specialist. This is because massage does not cure issues, it only reduces pain and tension short term.
Professional & friendly approach
We want you to feel welcome
We want you know that conversations during your treatment time are always welcome (though please ensure respectful topics only).
